Our Board is composed of a diversity of talented people coming from different educational and professional backgrounds. Shared among the Board Members is the long-term commitment to the environment through research and conservation.

D. Laurence Armstrong

Victoria, BC

Laurie recently retired after a distinguished 39 year legal career in Victoria, B.C. He practiced primarily as a litigator, often opposing various levels of government. He practiced at all levels of the B.C. and Federal Courts as well as before various federal and provincial tribunals.

Throughout his career, Laurie has built a fleet of wooden boats, both sail and power. He is currently passing on his skills to 12 - 14 year old Sea Scouts in a hands-on boat building project.

Peter Lloyd

Peter has a stellar career in strategic business advising and consulting including being the managing partner of Grant Thornton in Victoria, BC.

Peter has also served as the Chair of Board of Governors of Camosun College and the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre in Sidney, BC. He is currently a public member on the Board of the BC Law Society.

Harold has an extensive career in corporate management including having been CEO of Anchor Lamina Inc., President of Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada and Vice-president of Harley-Davidson Corporation responsible for Europe.

Harold also is a member of the Board of Directors of the MS Society of Ontario.

Peter is the CEO of the Professional Skills Development Institute (PSDI) and professor emeritus in Environmental Studies at York University. Peter is on the Board of Directors of DPRA International as well as on the Board of Governors of the First Nations University of Canada.
